Tracie Ibrahim, LMFT, CST, is a mental health executive, clinician, educator, and lived experience advocate with 34 years of experience across the continuum of behavioral healthcare. Throughout her career, Tracie has focused on closing one of the central gaps FORCE was created to address: ensuring that evidence-based mental healthcare reaches the people who need it. Having worked at nearly every level of mental healthcare—from psychiatric technician and residential caregiver to therapist, supervisor, director, executive director, and senior executive—she brings an unusually comprehensive understanding of how care is experienced, delivered, taught, implemented, regulated, and scaled.
As Chief Compliance Officer for NOCD/Noto, Tracie oversees enterprise-wide compliance and risk management and partners with clinical leadership to ensure evidence-based standards are implemented ethically and effectively at scale. She joined NOCD during its early stages and helped grow the organization into the world’s largest specialty tele-mental-health provider for OCD, delivering evidence-based treatment across all 50 U.S. states and internationally. Across her career, she has worked in settings spanning acute psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, residential and group-home care, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient treatment—experience that has given her firsthand insight into both the possibilities of effective mental healthcare and the systemic barriers that prevent people from receiving it.
Tracie is also the owner of Specialized Psychological Services, where for more than two decades she has developed specialized treatment programs, trained clinicians, and provided direct therapeutic care. She has trained and supervised more than 100 pre-licensed therapists and has provided professional trainings, workshops, support groups, and educational programming aimed at expanding access to accurate diagnosis and evidence-based treatment. Throughout her career, she has repeatedly seen the consequences of delayed diagnosis, limited access to specialty care, and inadequate clinician training. Closing those gaps has remained a consistent focus of her work.
Beyond her clinical and executive leadership, Tracie is a longtime mental health educator and advocate. She serves on the One Mind Lived Experience Council and as a Global Advocate for the International OCD Foundation, where she also co-leads the LGBTQIA+ and Moms With OCD Special Interest Groups. Whether training clinicians, speaking at scientific and clinical conferences, leading community workshops and support groups, participating in webinars and podcasts, or collaborating with advocacy organizations, she works to improve understanding of OCD as it actually presents—including taboo and highly stigmatized symptoms that are
frequently misunderstood—and to ensure lived experience informs education, clinical care, and systems change.
Tracie has lived with serious mental illness since early childhood, including severe OCD, treatment-resistant Persistent Depressive Disorder, and PTSD. Before receiving accurate diagnoses and evidence-based treatment around age 30, she spent nearly a decade in and out of 29 psychiatric facilities, experiencing firsthand the consequences of misdiagnosis, ineffective treatment, stigma, and systems that misunderstood her symptoms. She has now maintained full functional stability for more than two decades. As the parent of three children with serious mental illness and neurodivergence, she also understands mental healthcare through the perspectives of caregiver and family member. Together, these experiences shape how she approaches mental healthcare—as a patient, parent, clinician, educator, executive, and advocate.
Through FORCE, Tracie brings together decades of clinical expertise, systems leadership, clinician education, and lived experience to help build a future where people receive accurate diagnoses sooner, clinicians are better equipped to provide evidence-based care, and effective OCD treatment is accessible to everyone who needs it.
